Example Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) (Dr. Helenowski Experience)

This patient had a large arteriovenous malformation (AVM circled in red) shown on the angiogram.

Image 1a and 1b - The AVM as seen on angiogram from the side (1a) and from the front (1b) at the time of the radiosurgery.

Image 2a and 2b - Follow up angiogram four years later shows only a small part of the AVM still open. One year later, the follow up angiogram showed all of the AVM to be closed.

This case is presented as an example only of what has been achieved with radiosurgery by Dr. Helenowski. Each case is different and there are no guarantees that patients with similar appearing tumors will have exactly the same response even if treated the same.
